Kingsbury FWA Birding

  On a birding trip out at Kingsbury FWA, I got a glimpse of two first of the year birds for 2012. I came across an Eastern Screech Owl (Red Phase) in a Wood Duck box and shortly after, I came up on a Cooper's Hawk perched in a tree. Overall a productive day in the cold, brisk wind!

Backyard Juncos

Got a couple of good pictures from the backyard today. Dark Eyed Juncos seemed to be everywhere! They really do love the winter time I guess!

Birding at Pine Lake

We went for a drive around Pine Lake to see what type of birds came with the warm weather we had been having. There was a good amount of ducks and geese with some less frequent visitors mixed in the flocks here and there. These Mallards didn't mind posing for a group picture on their little block of ice!
