Welcome!

We hope that you enjoy looking at some of our favorite photos! As a family, we have enjoyed birding for the last year and find it exciting to never know what you might see on your next trip. We love the outdoors and take every opportunity to get out there and enjoy it. Birding is a passion of ours and we hope you enjoy reading about some of our favorite memories as well!

Phoebes at Luhr

The migrating birds are making their way back up North. We took a walk today out at Luhr Park and came up on two Eastern Phoebes at the Nature Center. This is a good sign!

Headlands S.P. Mentor, Ohio

On our way back from New York, we stopped off at a popular birding spot to test our luck. The highlights of the trip were Eastern Phoebes, Golden Crowned Kinglets, Northern Flickers, Winter Wren and an Eastern Towhee.

What a cool day out at this State Park. It was 78 inland and it dropped to 58 degrees right by the water. It was so foggy and misty that you can't even see the water (Lake Erie) in this picture when it should be right where the sand ends. It was kind of spooky, but cool!

Turkey Time at Kingsbury

As Kelly and I were driving out around Kingsbury, she looked up and saw 5 turkey vultures sitting in the same tree. It's not hard to miss these guys because they are huge birds. Ugly as all get out too! We stayed out to see an awesome sunset! The highlights were a flock of Sandhill Cranes, Turkey Vultures and some Green Wing Teal at the grand marsh.

I was just a little too slow on getting ready for this shot, so my camera settings weren't what I wanted them to be, hence the slight blur! I can't stand blurry pictures! LOL

Lake Michigan Birding

Not much going on at the Lake Michigan Beaches today, other than some beautiful weather! Lots of Ring Billed Gulls and people walking their dogs.

Take note of the off color haze line out over the lake. Nice to know that it's not a section of clouds, rather a section of pollution coming from the steel mills to the west!

Full Moon at Bluhm

We took a trip out to Bluhm dog park in Westville, and it was just too windy to do anything. We walked around for a little bit before we decided to pack up and head home. No birds, just us, wide open spaces, and the beautiful moon!
